Our Story
 In
1999, with tremendous determination and an unwavering sense
of style & flair, Rena M. opened Romantic Adventures on
the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. Rena comments, “It was
something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve had some
businesses in the past. My first was a souvenir shop called
Happyness Boutique where I sold Lake Tahoe mementos mixed
with a couple of pieces of lingerie and a vibrator or two.
It was great fun.
“Then I opened a convenience store called Bottoms Up.
You could run in and choose some sunscreen, snacks, beer &
wine, a cute teddy, a vibrator, and some lube. It was an awesome
idea and people loved it.
After running Happyness Boutique and Bottoms Up, it was a
natural progression for Rena to open her own lingerie shop.
And thus, Romantic Adventures was born.
After combining the best of Rena’s first two businesses
into Romantic Adventures the decision was made to close her
other shops and concentrate solely on the new venture. Rena
and her staff provide a unique shopping experience for their
customers. In a friendly atmosphere, they combine their knowledge
with excellent customer service all the while maintaining
the attitude that shopping at Romantic Adventures ought to
be-lots of fun!
“We’re a tourist destination and we have return
customers every year,” explains Rena. “Our customers
love visiting beautiful Lake Tahoe and seeing what’s
new at Romantic Adventures. The biggest request we hear from
those customers is that they wished there was a Romantic Adventures
in their area.”
 That’s
when Rena started thinking: How could we provide our customers
with the Romantic Adventures shopping experience right now,
without trying to open a new store in every town?
That’s when the idea for the web site was conceived!
After many months of preparation and countless hours of experimentation,
